We are looking for dedicated Forest School facilitators to join our dynamic team! If you are passionate about forest school and supporting young people’s journeys, then this could be the place for you!

We are specifically looking for people to work 1:1 with individuals, as part of a team, primarily in our Alternative Provision offering on Wednesdays in term time, but potentially in other groups too.

Please note that as this post will involve working with young people, your appointment is subject to you receiving satisfactory DBS clearance. Additionally, we are a Safer Recruitment Employer, with appointments only made if the necessary requirements are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Use a child- led approach that embodies the Forest School ethos and supports the Forest School Principles.
  • Using experience and skills in the natural world to support participant(s)
  • Following Wheatfen Forest School policies and procedures
  • Working effectively within a dynamic environment, based outdoors, in the woods, come rain or shine.
  • To perform first aid as necessary and appropriate, (and therefore having valid relevant and adequate Outdoor/ Forest School First Aid qualifications are essential).

Please see the job description for further details.

The deadline for applications is Friday 1st of November 2024.
